Contest tools

Download the results, the participant list and the photographs of a contest, and send invitations, all from a single panel.

Where to find it

Go to My associations → ⚙️ gear icon → Contests and click the 📊 icon (Review contest). The Tools card sits on the right, next to Jurys and Salon chairman.

Leagues have the same card: open Leagues and click the league's 📊 icon.

Reports

Results

Download the contest results as Excel or CSV.

For a contest, the file has one sheet per category and one row per photograph, with the position, the author's first and last name, the photo title, the points, the average, any awards it received and whether the author is a member of the association.

For a league, the file has two tables: the season standings by participant and the detail of every photograph.

The button becomes available once the contest is finished. In a league, as soon as one theme has been closed; the file then covers only the closed themes. Until then the button is off and hovering over it explains what is missing: results that can still change are no use outside the screen, and the file carries the authors' names — exactly what the jury cannot see while voting.

Participants

Download the list of entrants as Excel or CSV, with every available column and no filters.

To save exactly what you are looking at instead —your column selection, your search and your sort order— use the Export button on the participants table further down the same screen.

CEF report

Download the salon report in the official format of the Confederación Española de Fotografía: their own template, with its three sheets, its logo and its tally table.

Picstar fills in what it knows:

  • Salon header: CEF patronage number (if you registered them as an approved sponsor of the contest), name, country, number of sections and date of the jury's decision.
  • Breakdown by section: photographs submitted, accepted and the ratio between them. Submitted counts the photographs that reached the jury; disqualified ones are left out, just as they are left out of the accepted count, so that the ratio compares like with like.
  • Jury: surname, first name, nationality, email and phone.
  • ACEPTADAS sheet: one row per photograph that passed the cut, with the author, the title, the awards —FIAP ones separated from the rest— and their FCF and CEF membership numbers.

Whatever Picstar does not store is left blank for you to complete before sending it: the circuit, the catalogue, the courtesy title (Mr./Ms.) and the contact block.

If the contest has more sections or more jury members than the form allows, the rows needed are added.

Available for contests only, and once the contest is finished. Leagues do not have it: the CEF form is for a salon with sections.

The per-category sheets are for reading the results. There is also a Fotografías sheet with every category together, meant for publishing the results on your website: it adds each photo's category, the name the photograph takes inside the download ZIP and a link to the image.

That file column is what lets you match the sheet against the unzipped folder without going photo by photo.

Materials

Download photos

Opens the download window for the submitted photographs. Available once the contest is finished; in a running league you can download the themes that have already been closed.

The window's filters and which photographs make it into the archive are explained in Downloading the photographs.

Actions

Invite participants

Sends the contest announcement to a list of email addresses. It can only be used once per contest: afterwards the button is off and shows how many invitations were sent.

It is also off while the contest is not public and once the submission deadline has passed, because anyone receiving it could no longer take part.
