Picstar is an online platform that lets photography associations run contests and leagues, manage their members and publish results, and lets photographers enter those contests, submit their work and view their awards.

Anyone accessing this website takes on the role of user and undertakes to comply with the provisions set out here, as well as with any other applicable legal provision.

The provider reserves the right to modify the information appearing on the website without prior notice, publication on the site itself being deemed sufficient.

Terms of use

An account is required in order to enter contests, create an association or submit photographs. Users undertake to provide accurate information, to keep it up to date, and are responsible for the activity carried out from their account.

Users undertake not to use the website to:

• Submit work they do not hold the necessary rights to.
• Impersonate another person or association.
• Interfere with the normal operation of the platform or with voting processes.
• Publish unlawful or offensive content, or content infringing third-party rights.

Failure to comply with these terms may lead to the suspension or cancellation of the account, as well as exclusion from the contests entered.

Liability

The provider accepts no liability for information published on its website where that information has been manipulated or introduced by a third party.

Third-party content may be reachable from this website. As the provider cannot always control such content, it accepts no liability in respect of it. In any event, it will immediately remove any content that may contravene national or international law, public morals or public order, and will report the content in question to the competent authorities.

Photographs, texts and other content published on the platform by users and associations are the responsibility of whoever publishes them. In compliance with articles 11 and 16 of the LSSI-CE, the provider actively cooperates in removing or blocking content that may contravene the law, third-party rights or public order. The provider does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website, which may be affected by maintenance work or by causes beyond its control.

Personal data protection

The provider is committed to complying with data protection legislation and guarantees compliance with the obligations and the implementation of the security measures set out in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and in Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 of 5 December on the Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights.

Intellectual and industrial property

The website — including its programming, design, compilation, logos, text and graphics — is the property of the provider or is used under express licence from its authors. All content is protected by intellectual and industrial property legislation.

Photographs submitted to contests remain the property of their authors. By entering, the author grants Picstar and the organising association a non-exclusive licence to display the work within the platform and in communications relating to the contest. Each contest may set additional terms in its rules, which entrants accept on signing up.

Designs, logos and content not belonging to the provider that may appear on the site belong to their respective owners, who are responsible for any dispute that may arise in respect of them.
