This page sets out the cookies used by Picstar, in compliance with article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE).
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file that a website stores on your device when you visit it. It is used to remember information between pages or between visits: for example, that you are already signed in, or which language you prefer.
Not all cookies do the same thing or carry the same implications. That is why the law distinguishes between those that are essential to providing the service and those that are not.
Which cookies we use
Necessary cookies
Essential for the site to work. Without them you could not sign in and the site would not remember your language, so they do not require consent.

Analytics cookies
They let us see how the site is used in aggregate. They are only installed if you accept them, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.

How you decide
Necessary cookies are always installed: without them you could not sign in and the site would not remember your language. They do not require consent because they are essential to providing the service you asked for.
Everything else is not installed until you accept it. If you do not accept, it is not loaded: it is not a case of being installed and left unused — it never comes into existence.
You can change your decision whenever you like from the cookie preferences panel, available in the footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
Third-party cookies
Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics, a Google service that lets us see how the site is used in aggregate: which pages are visited most, or what kind of device people arrive on. We do not use them to identify you personally or to show you advertising.
Google acts as a data processor and may process that information on servers located outside the European Economic Area, with the safeguards set out in data protection legislation.
Managing them from your browser
As well as the preferences panel, you can block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Each browser does this differently, so check its help pages:

- Safari — Preferences → Privacy
- Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions
What happens if you reject them
Rejecting analytics cookies has no effect on your use of Picstar: you will still be able to browse, enter contests and manage your account as normal.
If you block all cookies from your browser, including the necessary ones, you will not be able to stay signed in and parts of the site will stop working properly.
